How it works

Three steps. No money held.

thoughtful. works with shops that don't sell gift cards. You pay them, they vouch for the gift with a code, and we make it beautiful.

    Pay the shop

    Buy the gift the way you always would, in store or by transfer. Your money goes straight to the shop, never through us.

  2. 02

    Get your code

    Once you've paid, the shop creates a one-time code on thoughtful. and sends it to you by WhatsApp or text, or prints it on your receipt.

  3. 03

    Give the card

    Enter the code, add their name and a note, and we make the card. They show it at the shop, the shop scans it, and the gift is theirs.

Because the payment goes directly to the shop, any change from your payment or refund is between you and the shop. Each code works once and only for the shop that made it.
