Terms of use
Last updated 2 November 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and thoughtful. when you use our website. We've kept them short. By making an account or using thoughtful., you agree to them.
What thoughtful. is
thoughtful. lets you make wishlists and share them with friends and family by link. It's free to use. When we add paid features, such as gift cards, they'll come with their own clear terms before you pay for anything.
Your account
- Use your real name and an email address you can reach.
- Keep your password safe. You're responsible for what happens in your account.
- You need to be 13 or older. If you're under 18, use thoughtful. with a parent or guardian's permission.
Your lists
What you put on your lists stays yours. You give us permission to store it and show it to the people you share it with, only so that thoughtful. works. Shops and products you link to belong to their owners. We don't sell those products and aren't responsible for them.
Please don't
- Use a list to ask people to send money to a stranger, or to trick anyone.
- Add anything illegal, hateful, sexual, violent or meant to hurt someone.
- Pretend to be someone else, or use someone else's photos or words without permission.
- Try to break, overload or get around the security of thoughtful.
Anyone can report a list. If a list breaks these rules, we may take it down, and we may suspend accounts that keep doing so. If you think we got it wrong, write to hello@thoughtful.ng.
Our promise, and its limits
We work hard to keep thoughtful. running and your lists safe, but we provide it as it is. We can't promise it will never be down or never have a mistake. As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for indirect losses, such as a gift that didn't arrive from a shop you linked to.
Leaving
You can stop using thoughtful. at any time and ask us to delete your account. We can close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. How we handle your information is explained in our Privacy page.
The law
These terms are governed by the laws of Nigeria. We'll always try to sort things out with you directly first.
Changes
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you before it takes effect.
